HERE SITS THE WOUNDED KING IN THOUGHT

HE WAS A MIGHTY KING, ONCE. None can deny him the proof of his accomplishments. They say he conquered Albion, and sent legions to Hy Brasil. They say he won fealty in Faery, and to Rome he went, and they crowned him, and into the wild Westernesse, where the druids praised him. And he dined on Olympus Mons, and chased the morning star, and freed 10,000 heathen souls from Hades, and they knelt before him. But he was betrayed. You betrayed him. You drove a steel rod into his thigh, and you cut his ears twice on each lobe, and you broke the third finger of his let hand, and you gouged his eye, and this broke his mind.

Now he sits in his solitarium, dreaming of his past and fingering a knotted twist of cord. Someday he will unwind it, and escape. at will be a fell day for all traitors, but for now you speak with his tongue and you write with his hand, and are content. 

This is a prototype of a ttrpg for 2-4 players. All you need to play is is one 100 sided die (or, you know, two tens).
